Either way, this workshop is a great opportunity to learn how to use your yoga practice to ignite your creativity! If the weather is nice, part of this workshop will be held "plein air" (outside!)

Practice AND play in this workshop designed specifically to help you develop the tools needed to master any pose you may be working on- whether it be an arm balance or inversion. Class will offer a 30 minute opening sequence to warm up the body, followed up open "play time" to explore any variety of poses that you're working towards. We'll round out the class with lunar asanas to leave us feeling grounded and ready to continue our day off the mat.

Summer Solstice is a sacred opportunity to align the peak of your embodiment and heart-felt intentions with the peak light of the sun. At this mid-point of the year, we will lift our hearts to the sun and celebrate the fruits of our labor that have manifested in practice and in life.
We will illuminate our soulful spirits by embodying solar Prana Vinyasa Flow heart-opening sequences inspired by Shiva Rea. Moving at an invigorating rhythm to the live music of percussionist Joe Westerlund you will circulate through a full-spectrum practice including: Namaskars, Kriyas, Heart Opening Peak Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation and Mantra.
Let’s come together and savor the sweetness of summer. You will go back out into the world reflecting the radiant light of the sun from your heart and through your smile!
Carson Efird, MFA, E-RYT 500, RPYT, is a dancing yogini living in North Carolina. An enthusiastic student and teacher of Prana Flow, Carson is inspired by evolutionary Vinyasa, modern dance, improvisation, Tantra, Ayurveda and her teacher, Shiva Rea, creatress of Prana Vinyasa. Since completing her Prana Flow certification in 2009, she joyfully serves as an assistant and mentor in Shiva’s Samudra: Global School for Living Yoga. Carson directed affiliate Prana Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Trainings for EVOLVE Movement in Raleigh, NC and UCLA Summer Institutes in Los Angeles, CA from 2012-16; and, served as Yoga Program Director for EVOLVE from 2014-16. In 2013 she earned her MFA in Dance from UCLAʼs Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance where she taught yoga for the Department while researching the points of intersection between dance and theater. She teaches locally and travels nationally as a guest teacher and artist in studios, teacher trainings, colleges, universities and festivals.

Looking for something fun to do with the kids this summer? Drop them off for yogArt -- a unique experience of yoga + art.
Kids will enjoy an hour long yoga class, learning how to cultivate focus and balance, while having fun with breath and self expression. Afterwards, they will dive into a daily art project that reflects upon the theme of the yoga class. The last day will include an exhibit and reception!

Learn practical techniques to manage stress during this 90 minute workshop, led by Rosei Skipper, MD. Utilizing gentle movements, simple breath practices and wisdom from both Eastern and Western psychology, we will explore a variety of methods to find balance in a busy world.
Rosei Skipper has been practicing yoga and enjoying its benefits for most of her life. Her academic path led her to study medicine and eventually train at the Mayo Clinic. After completing her residency in adult psychiatry, followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, Rosei created the career of her dreams when she integrated her interests to focus on health, wellness and physical activity outside of the traditional clinical setting.
Rosei strives to bring joy, connection, and laughter to her classes. She is passionate about mental health, and believes wholeheartedly in the benefits that can be found from movement, meditation and mindful breathing. Her classes are informed by her education, her commitment to keep learning new skills, and her love of great music.
This workshop is open to all levels and abilities. Please wear comfortable clothing.
